BACKGROUND: High-dose methotrexate (HDMTX) remains integral to acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (ALL) treatment. However, high MTX concentrations can lead to acute kidney injury (KI) and other toxicities. We investigated whether measured GFR (mGFR) by iohexol clearance better predicts delayed MTX excretion and/or toxicity compared with standard of care using an estimated GFR (eGFR). The present study is focused on the proteome of reproductive tract fluids from tropically-adapted Santa Ines rams. Seminal plasma, cauda epididymal (CEF) and vesicular gland fluid (VGF) proteins were analyzed by 2-D electrophoresis and mass spectrometry. Oocyte maturation is a complex process and a critical issue in assisted reproduction techniques (ART) in humans and other mammals. We used a sensitive 2-D DIGE saturation labeling approach including an internal pooled standard for quantitative proteome profiling of immature versus in vitro matured bovine oocytes in six independent samples.
