We report 2 cases of nonspecific postvaccinial dermatitis following smallpox vaccination. The patients presented with diffuse, pruritic, erythematous macules and papules 11 days (case 1) and 7 days (case 2) following routine smallpox vaccination. Tick-borne rickettsioses are important zoonoses in many tropical and subtropical areas. There has recently been an increase in the number of reported cases among tourists returning to Scandinavia. In this article we present all five serologically confirmed cases of tick-borne rickettsioses imported into Norway in 1997.
