The number of non-accidental deaths and heat-related illnesses due to the co-occurrence of heatwaves and COVID-19 has been identified to estimate compound health impacts between two risks. We have analyzed data from historical years (2013-2019) to calculate the baseline values of the number of non-accidental deaths and heat-related illness patients from May to September using a quasi-Poisson generalized linear model and compared them to data from 2020 in Korea. Tropical cyclones (TCs) have caused extensive power outages. The impacts of TC-caused blackouts may worsen in the future as TCs and heatwaves intensify. Here we couple TC and heatwave projections and power outage and recovery process analysis to investigate how TC-blackout-heatwave compound hazard risk may vary in a changing climate, with Harris County, Texas as an example. This study represents a second part of a recently published study about a new form of evaluation and development of rare genetic neurodegenerative diseases. The objective is to provide a more global vision of thermography with respect to the Emery-Dreifuss pathology, through the analysis of the data collection carried out for one year. The basic hypothesis is that thermography could become a valid tool for the diagnosis and follow-up of this pathology because is a very specific tool for registering temperature changes produced by a constant degenerative evolution of this muscular dystrophy.

Herein, we report the development of a post-synthetic modification approach to introduce a high loading of formyl groups onto porous aromatic framework (PAF)-5 via Friedel-Crafts alkylation followed by hydrolysis. Two previously uncharacterized C19-diterpenoid alkaloids (1 and 2) and seven known ones (3-9) were isolated from Gymnaconitum gymnandrum. Reduced graphene oxide coated polyurethane (rGPU) sponges were fabricated by a facile method.
