Twenty-five patients underwent audiovisual sexual stimulation (AVSS) after pharmacologically-induced erection. Grade of erection and cavernosal blood flow were assessed after intracorporeal (IC) injection of TRI-MIX or prostaglandin E1, and then after AVSS, using pulsed Doppler ultrasonography (PDUS). Even by patients with cerebral palsy an improvement of objective and self-critical clinical assessment of therapy was achieved. Considerable functional disturbances of the urodynamics, consisting of hypotonia, hypokinesia, and dyskinesia of the pelvis and upper third of the ureters were detected by television excretory pyeloscopy and motion-picture urography in female rabbits after prolonged administration of progesterone and estradiol dipropionate. These findings suggest a role of hormonal imbalance in the pathogenesis of disorders of the urodynamics that are the possible causes of development of pyelonephritis, nephrolithiasis, hydronephrosis, and other diseases of the kidneys in women.

A case of congenital malformations of the extremities (deformed thumbs and great toes, dislocation of the hips, limitation of motion of the joints of the lower extremities), bilateral microphthalmia, bilateral retinal cysts, cerebral atrophy epilepsy, severe physical and mental retardation and monolobed neutrophil granulocytes is reported. A similar clinical picture has not previously been described. We assume that the patient suffers from a sublethal genetic disorder.

The acute calcific tendinitis of the longus colli muscle is a rare inflammatory process of the prevertebral muscles. The clinical picture includes acute neck pain, limited range of motion of the cervical spine with stiffness and odynophagia. The laboratory findings demonstrate inflammatory signs. The incidence of the disease peaks between the third and sixth decade. The knowledge of the characteristic radiologic findings and the self-limiting course prevents the patient from needless medical and surgical interventions.
