Primary colorectal choriocarcinoma is an extremely rare neoplasm and is usually associated with a poor prognosis. Only 13 cases of colorectal choriocarcinoma have previously been reported. There is no standard chemotherapeutic regimen for this tumor type. A 68-year-old man presented with melena and was diagnosed with sigmoid colonic adenocarcinoma with multiple liver metastases. We present a case with a 46-year-old woman who had experienced six days of abdominal pain and some days of anal bleeding. She had no prior medical history. At the clinical examination it was found that she had a soft abdomen, but there was tenderness in the lower part. A computed tomography showed an intussusception of the sigmoideum into the rectum. An oncological resection was performed, since it could not at the time of the operation be determined if it was a malignant proces. The histology showed a benign submucosal lipoma.

Fourteen patients with colonic obstruction as the initial manifestation of a malignant ovarian tumor are described. Although common in advanced ovarian tumor, bowel obstruction as the presenting feature of carcinoma of the ovary is not well recognized. Clinical features were that of partial or complete large bowel obstruction, roentgenographically and pathologically involving the sigmoid colon in 12 of 14 patients. Brain metastases from colorectal carcinomas are very uncommon and are almost uniformly seen in the setting of advanced, systemic disease. We describe a unique case of multiple, isolated brain metastases occurring from a Duke's B carcinoma of the sigmoid colon. Reintervention has a good change of success in recurrent of carcinoma of the sigma and colon. Early detection is essential for reintervention to be successful, and meticulous follow-up is therefore necessary in all patients operated on for tumors: follow-up examinations can best be carried out at a special tumor clinic. We present a case of an elderly man with what appeared to be an episode of rectal prolapse following straining while defaecating. Laparotomy revealed the prolapse to be an intussusception of large bowel with a villous adenoma as its lead point.
