PURPOSE: Blepharitis, an intrinsic eyelid inflammation with crusting and irritation, presents a great problem for patients wearing contact lenses. An important part of blepharitis therapy is eyelid hygiene, including the use of either soap, dilute baby shampoo, or commercial lid scrubs. In an attempt to evaluate the validity of the laser flare-cell meter in in iridocyclitis, we conducted a comparative study of slit-lamp examination and flare-cell meter measurements in 251 eyes of uveitis patients. A significant correlation was observed between the two methods both in the measurement of flare intensity (Kendall tau = 0.580, p less than 0.001) and cell count (tau = 0.390, p less than 0.001). Keratoconus is a bilateral non-inflammatory ectatic disease of the cornea, with an asymmetrical evolution, that occurs in young people during puberty, progressing during the second and third decades and stabilizing around the age of 40. It is characterised by an insidious and progressive thinning of the cornea, myopia and astigmatism, which lead to a decrease in visual acuity. PURPOSE: To describe the history and clinical presentation of a case of conjunctival lichen planus simulating ocular surface squamous neoplasia (OSSN).
METHODS: A 32-year-old Hispanic man presented with a 6-month history of worsening foreign body sensation, localized conjunctival hyperemia, and a progressively enlarging "bump" located in the temporal aspect of his right eye. We report the case of a 16-year-old woman with microspherophakia and secondary open angle glaucoma. The patient presented with a membrane dividing the anterior chamber into two segments without edema or Descemet's membrane detachment. Slit lamp biomicroscopy, Pentacam, and specular microscopy images were obtained. Double anterior chamber is primarily found in patients with anterior chamber anomalies when there is no history of surgery or trauma.

CASE REPORT: We present a seventy-three year-old female diagnosed with lens coloboma when she was going to be operated on for cataracts.
DISCUSSION: The incidence of congenital coloboma of the eye is estimated to be 0.5 per 10000 newborns in Spain, 1.4 in France, 2.6 in United States, and 7.5 in China. The diagnosis is clinical by observing the defect. The visual prognosis depends on the extent and severity of the coloboma. The treatment of the cataract was by phacoemulsification with an intraocular lens using a capsular tension ring.

A 25 years old male patient presented with long stature with disproportionately long limbs and digits (arachnodactyly). Examination of cardiovascular system showed mitral regurgitation and dilatation of aortic root. Slit lamp examination showed bilateral superotemporal dislocation of lens. Ophthalmoscopy revealed waxy pallor of optic disc, arteriolar attenuation and bone-spicule like pigments in the retina. The diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa was confirmed by electroretinogram.

Loaiasis is a chronic parasitic disease caused by the filaria Loa loa.As soon as the worm reaches the subconjunctival space local irration ensues.
