The condition of simultaneous preconcentration of Pb and Hg by sulfhydryl cotton, the eluting condition, the determination condition of Pb and Hg by hydride generation AFS and the influence of interference elements were discussed. Then, the method for the determination of ultratrace lead and mercury in the underground water was obtained, and the method is sensitive and reliable. The experiment results show that all of the indexes of this method can satisfy the analysis of the underground water.

Eleven kinds of drug including (Vc) Qiangliyinqiao, Huanglianshangqing, Sanhuang, Ganmaoqing, Fufangchuanxinlian, Biyankang, Banlangenchongji, Niuhuangjiedu, Zhongganpian, Shuanghuanglian Koufuye and Qingrejiedu Koufuye are digested with HNO3-HClO4 mixed acid. The ten trace elements of copper, iron, zinc, manganese, cobalt, nickel, calcium, magnesium, cadmium and lead in the solution are determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. The results obtained show that antipyretic and antidote contains higher amount of Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn and Mn than other elements.

A new and simple two-step SFODME using 4-nitro-o-phenylenediamine (4-NOPD) as a chelating agent was developed for mercury speciation in water and fish samples by ETAAS. For the first step, methylmercury was extracted into 1-undecanol and for the second step, the Hg(II) remaining in the sample solution was complexed with 4-NOPD and then extracted into 1-undecanol.
