Efficiently reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) at low temperatures under oxygen-rich conditions is a significant challenge in industrial denitrification. This study synthesized a series of bimetallic MOF-74 catalysts through a one-step hydrothermal method using cost-effective transition metals. Screening indicated that the inclusion of Fe notably improved the specific surface area, optimized the Mn3+/Fe2+ redox cycle, and generated synergistic Fe-Mn oxygen vacancies, enhancing Lewis acid sites and oxygen mobility. A fast and sample cleanup approach for fluoxetine in human plasma was developed using protein precipitation coupled with LC-MS-MS. Samples were treated with methanol prior to LC-MS-MS analysis. Chromatographic separation was performed on a reverse phase column with an isocratic mobile phase of methanol and 10 mM ammonium formate pH acidified with formic acid (80:20, v/v) at a flow rate of 0.2 mL/min. Mixed anion compounds in the Fm3̅m vacancy ordered perovskite structure were synthesized and characterized experimentally and computationally with a focus on compounds where A = Cs+. Pure anion Cs2SnX6 compounds were formed with X = Cl, Br, and I using a room temperature solution phase method. Understanding ribose reactivity is a crucial step in the "RNA world" scenario because this molecule is a component of all extant nucleotides that make up RNA.
