We present two cases of massive gingival enlargement and osteolysis of alveolar bone in a 30-year-old female and a 36-year-old male. The etiology could not be established in either case. Histologically, both lesions contained hyperplastic fibrous connective tissue and intense plasma cell infiltrates. Both patients responded well to extensive gingivectomy, extraction of all teeth, and alveoplasty.

Sequential CAT scan studies of the brain were performed in a 7-year-old boy with Listeria monocytogenes serotype 1 meningoencephalitis. The infection occurred while he was receiving maintenance chemotherapy for T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Two cases of mantle cell lymphoma are presented. Both patients were women, aged 68 and 56 years, who presented with lymph node enlargement. Each case was initially interpreted as a follicular small cleaved cell lymphoma. Both patients later presented with splenomegaly and recurrent lymphadenopathy. METHODS: Visual field conditions of 313 eyes in 172 individuals with high myopia were evaluated. A 2-year-old boy presented with fever, recurrent infections and multiple skin lesions. He had anemia, eczematous skin lesions, cervical lymph node enlargement, hepatomegaly and lytic lesions on skull x-ray. The skin infiltrates were CD 68, CD 1a positive and S100 positive. He was diagnosed as disseminated langerhans cell histiocytosis. The occurrence of histiocytosis is reviewed and possible treatment is discussed.

A gynandroblastoma of the ovary in a 17-year-old girl is reported. Primary amenorrhoea, hirsuties and slight clitoral enlargement were associated with the tumour and high levels of circulating testosterone were found. This is the first gynandroblastoma in which Reinke crystalloids have been identified in the Leydig cell component. The criteria for the diagnosis of this tumour and its histogenesis are discussed.

A 60-year-old man was given a clinical diagnosis of sarcoidosis, with enlarged mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy by chest CT, high levels of angiotensin-converting enzyme, and gallium scintigraphy findings. After 2 years follow-up, chest CT showed that only the right superior lobe bronchial lymph node had enlarged, occluding the right B1 bronchus, but other enlarged lymph nodes had not changed in size. Splenic vascular neoplasms are the most common form of spleen tumors. Among them, littoral cell angioma is rare and it is frequently an incidental finding in imaging studies.
