11 patients who developed tuberculosis while on long-term immunosuppressive-drug therapy are described. The clinical association between glomerulonephrtis (GN) and malignant hematological disease is very rare. We report, in a 24 years old male, the occurrence of an apparently idiopathic nephrotic syndrome with minimal change glomerular lesions. We document an unusual case of HTLV-I positive adult T-cell leukaemia lymphoma (ATLL) in a 25 year old Chilean patient who presented with primary small intestinal involvement and during evolution developed a leukaemic phase. Severe nephrotic syndrome developed suddenly in a 67-year-old man. IgM M-component and bone marrow findings indicated a diagnosis of Waldens … y triggered a monoclonal IgM response and lymphoproliferative reaction. Intermittent treatment with chlorambucil and corticoids completely abolished the nephrotic syndrome and at the same time the changes in renal morphology largely disappeared.

During a period of more than 30 years, 34 patients suffering from the Adamantiades-Behçet disease have been examined and followed between at least one year till 16 years. Different treatments have been administered and particularly the immunodepressors with good results, but about all patients became drug-dependents. Long-term observations concerning the ocular and general evolution of the disease are presented and discussed. Some patients have been operated for a cataract without any inconvenience.

The authors describe a case of meningitis by Listeria monocytogenes from which the patient, an adult suffering from a chronic lymphatic leukosis, recovered completely. Both the immune-suppressor treatment and the basic lymphoproliferative disease may have given rise to this infective disease. The diagnosis has been obtained by isolating the germ in liquor-cultures. We want to point out the importance of a specific and early antibiotic treatment.

An elderly woman with Waldenström's macroglobulinemia of four years' duration developed repeated severe epistaxis. This led to the discovery of a large malignant lymphoma of the nasopharynx. The clinical features of this rare case are discussed in relation to our present understanding of WM. Epistaxis in macroglobulinemic patients may be associated with anatomic lesions of the nasopharynx.
