Primary cutaneous lymphomas are the second most common form of extra-nodal lymphomas. They have special characteristics compared with other lymphomas. They are most frequently of T-cell origin and they generally have a much more indolent course than lymphomas of similar histology in other locations. Lymphoma of the eyelid constitutes 5% of ocular adnexal lymphoma. In previously published cases, 56% of lymphomas of the eyelid are of B-cell origin and 44% are of T-cell origin. The skin is the most common site of extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with a yearly incidence approaching 1 per 100,000 individuals in the United States. PURPOSE OF REVIEW: This review updates the status of the diagnosis of colonic lymphoma, whether primary or as part of a generalized presentation. Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas occur in a variety of organs, including the orbit, conjunctiva, salivary glands, skin, thyroid gland, lungs, stomach, and intestine. Primary extranodal lymphomas, a heterogeneous group of diseases of diverse etiology, pathogenesis, pattern of presentation and outcome, account for up to 20% of all malignant lymphomas. The mammograms of 25 women and six men (33 breasts) with lymphoreticular disease of the breast were reviewed. Three patients had HD, 21 NHL (one bilateral), three had leukemic involvement of the breast, and four had plasmacytoma (one bilateral). We report 21 cases of lymphomas associated with AIDS. Sixteen cases are Non Hodgkin's lymphomas of high grade malignancy. Immunoblastic B cell lymphomas are frequent: 11 cases/16, especially with extra nodal localisations. Three cases are Burkitt's lymphoma; 2 cases are large non cleaved cell lymphoma. A retrospective study of children and adults suffering acute leukemias was made. Among those without any antecedents of exposure to mutagenic agents, 24% showed chromosomal abnormalities. In the group of individuals exposed to mutagenic agents, 82% showed chromosomal aberrations, that were related to changes of the type -5, -7, +8 or +21 in 84% of the cases.
