Nurses in health policy: Lessons learned from one cohort of the American Academy of Nursing Jonas Policy Scholars Program.

Nurses are underrepresented in health policy. The Jonas Policy Scholars Program is a vital and effective program that promotes mentoring, health policy, and engagement among early nurse researchers. The Jonas Policy Scholars Program should continue and be replicated by other organizations. Nurses must serve as health policy leaders within and beyond the field of nursing. Health policy content and immersion should be integrated throughout nursing education.

Leishmaniasis in Northern Syria during Civil War.

Since the onset of the ongoing civil war in Syria, the governmental surveillance system for leishmaniasis has lost access to provinces of northern Syria. Epidemiologic data and biologic samples for molecular species diagnostics were collected from collaborating local health centers. Incidence peaked in March 2015 at 7,743 estimated monthly cases. Peer support systems and professional identity of student nurses undertaking a UK learning disability nursing programme.

This practitioner based action research examines the implementation of the peer assisted study scheme (PASS) and individual peer mentoring in a cohort of first year undergraduate nursing students. Figurations of Mentorship for Cultural Work.

As cultural work becomes increasingly precarious and digitally mediatized, we ask how mentorship can continue to play a crucial role in shaping how the know-how of cultural work is organized and shared. Drawing on a case study of a mentorship program for cultural work taking place in Greater Vancouver, Canada, we propose conceptualizing mentorship as a figuration, which we describe by tracing three interdependent threads: a constellation of actors, frames of relevance, and communicative practice. Focusing on the constellation of actors, we analyse how the mentorship spans across a dynamic netw
