The role of topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in routine cataract surgery has been established since decades. Topical NSAIDs have been shown to reduce postoperative ocular inflammation and pain, preserve intraoperative mydriasis, and reduce the risk of postoperative cystoid macular oedema, whilst carrying a very low side-effect profile. A 24-year-old male presented to the emergency department with hyperadrenergic manifestations of fenfluramine-phentermine overdose: tachycardia, mydriasis, fever, diaphoresis, hyperventilation, and combativeness. Twenty-seven sheep were assigned to three groups in order to study acute urea toxicity. Groups I, II and III were dosed with 0.5, 0.6 annd 0.75 g/kg of urea, respectively. The mean survival times were 165, 109 and 60 minutes, respectively. Forty-eight children with tubercular meningitis were observed and followed up for development of ocular sequelae over a period of four months. Commonest ocular abnormality encountered in this condition was optic disc change (62%) of which papillitis was the most frequent. Cervical schwannomas are rare, as fewer than 250 cases have been reported in the literature. The preferred method of removing a schwannoma is enucleation. Complications of schwannoma excision include Horner syndrome, first-bite syndrome, and Pourfour du Petit syndrome. A 21-year-old woman seen in this clinic with non-reactive mydriasis in the right eye that contracted with 1% pilocarpine. Cranial angio-CT and 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) did not detect any disease. The symptoms and signs of 51 patients with a history of scorpion sting were studied. Acute pulmonary oedema with peripheral circulatory failure due to myocarditis developed in 10.
