Specialized mammographic screenings of 61,276 industrial workers of the City of Perm and Perm Region were carried out in 1991-1999. Examinations included palpation, mammography and ultrasound (in some patients), aspiration biopsy and cytological analysis of nipple discharge, if necessary. Seven cases of carcinoma of male breast were reported. The mean age of them was about 65 years, 17 years older than that of female breast cancer. Six tumors out of 7 were located under the areola.
