OBJECTIVE: Chronic prostatitis, especially type III A, is a common disease in adult males, for which there are quite a few therapeutic methods. This study aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy of enoxacin in the treatment of III A prostatitis.
METHODS: We selected 198 cases of III A prostatitis with complete treatment and follow-up data from the outpatients, all treated by enoxacin injection for 1 week, followed by oral medication of enoxacin for 2 weeks. OBJECTIVE: To discuss the reasons and the treatments for the femoral refracture.
METHODS: From 2004 to 2008, 10 cases of femoral refracture after plate removal were selected and treated with open reduction and bone nail internal fixation, included 4 males and 6 females ranging from 19 to 48 years with an average age of 33 years old. Mrs D., 82 years old, is addressed to the emergency department for back pain and dyspnea associated with heart failure. This patient had a venous potassium to 7.4 mmol/L (without hemolysis) without clinical repercussions or electrocardiographic signs. OBJECTIVE: To explore an ideal program for acupuncture treatment of Tourette's syndrome (TS).
METHODS: One hundred and two cases of TS were randomly divided into a treatment group of 68 cases and a control group of 34 cases. The treatment group were treated with acupuncture at Taichong (LR 3) and Hegu (LI 4) as main, and the control group with oral administration of heloperidol. A case of adult-onset ataxia-telangiectasia (AT) is presented, with debut at the age of 18 years and survival into the fourth decade. The clinical picture included cerebellar ataxia, distal weakness and hypopalesthesia in the lower limbs, oculomotor apraxia, dysarthria, and conjunctival telangiectasiae. Carcinoembrionic antigen was raised in plasma. MR imaging showed atrophy of the cerebellar vermis and thinning of the spinal cord. The use of cardiac markers to identify high-risk patients in the observation unit is undeniable. As the literature reviewed here reveals, the history and ECG miss a significant portion of patients with acute cardiac ischemia. Abdominoscrotal hydrocele is a very rare anomaly. Although various theories about this condition have been proposed, controversy still continues on the etiology of this lesion.
