BACKGROUND: While trauma exposure is an established predictor of poor mental health among humanitarian aid workers (HAWs), less is known about the role of psychosocial work-related factors. This study aims to establish a psychosocial model for burnout and psychological distress in HAWs that tests and compares the effects of adversity exposure and workplace stressors in combination, and explores the potential mediating role of individual coping styles.

BACKGROUND: Patients with dry eye syndrome are known to suffer from anxiety and depression.
OBJECTIVES: Analysis of psychological disorders in therapy-resistant dry eye syndrome.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: A retrospective analysis of the training for interactive psychiatric screening (TRIPS) questionnaire from 110 patients with therapy-resistant dry eye syndrome was carried out. The results of the questionnaire allow the diagnosis of psychological disorders and vegetative disorders. Patients were divided into groups with anxiety, depression, mixed diagnoses, vegetative disorders and no diagnosis.

A non-recursive structural equation model designed to examine the reciprocal relationship between life event reports and depressive symptoms in women is presented.
