Echography and cystography showed three different causes: a cystic remnant of the omphalomesenteric duct, a persistent urachus and a persistent omphalomesenteric duct. Chyluria is a common presentation of filariasis in developing countries and mostly affects economically poor classes. The judicious use of investigations is mandatory to keep the cost of treatment acceptable. The results of immunological studies and histological examination of the excised tissue were unremarkable; none of seven criteria of antibody dependence were met.
