An automated system for the analysis of fatty acids is described. Samples dissolved in CS2 are automatically injected and separated by temperature programmed gas chromatography. Peak areas and retention times were measured by an electronic integrator, and recorded on punched paper tape. Peaks are identified and amounts calculated by an off-line computer program based on one or more internal standards. The system is designed for use with samples of at least 10 mug. Some of the problems adn limitations are discussed.

Full-dimensional (12D) vibrational states of the methanol molecule (CH3OH) have been computed using the GENIUSH-Smolyak approach and the potential energy surface from Qu and Bowman (2013). Biological dosimetry is used to estimate one's dose by biological phenomena. The most popular and 'gold standard' phenomenon is the appearance of dicentric chromosomes in metaphases. The most commonly reported collateral systems in the setting of superior vena cava obstruction are azygos venous system, vertebral venous system, external and internal thoracic venous system based on McLntire and Sykes classification. A 49-year-old female with renal disease complained dyspnea on exertion. Transesophageal echocardiography showed significant mitral annular calcification, large multi-lobulated mass at posterior aspect of RA, and complete obstruction of superior vena cava by thrombus formation. Apoptosis and proliferative markers were studied in fibroadenoma and fibrocystic breast lesions. PURPOSE: Computed tomography (CT) guided minimally invasive interventions such as biopsies or ablation therapies often involve insertion of a needle-shaped instrument into the target organ (e.g., the liver). Today, these interventions still require manual planning of a suitable trajectory to the target (e.g., the tumor) based on the slice data provided by the imaging modality. However, taking into account the critical structures and other parameters crucial to the success of the intervention--such as instrument shape and penetration angle--is challenging and requires a lot of experience.
