Diagnostic performance of deep learning models in differentiating benign and malignant pulmonary nodules: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND: Lung cancer is the most lethal malignant tumor globally. Accurate differentiation between benign and malignant pulmonary nodules (PNs) is the core of early screening and diagnosis for lung cancer. Deep learning (DL) models can autonomously extract high-dimensional information from medical images, demonstrating technical advantages in this task. Our study systematically evaluates the accuracy and efficacy of DL models in differentiating benign from malignant PNs, providing systematic, high-quality integrated evidence for their diagnostic performance. METHODS: Our study was conducte

Machine Learning for Predicting Stroke Risk Stratification Using Multiomics Data: Systematic Review.

BACKGROUND: Stroke is a complex, multidimensional disorder influenced by interacting inflammatory, immune, coagulation, endothelial, and metabolic pathways. Single-omics approaches seldom capture this complexity, whereas multiomics techniques provide complementary insights but generate high-dimensional and correlated feature spaces. Machine learning (ML) offers strategies to manage these challenges; however, the predictive accuracy and reproducibility of multiomics-based ML models for stroke remain poorly characterized. OBJECTIVE: This review aimed to conduct a systematic evaluation of ML mod

Antibiotic stewardship and point-of-care testing for children in 25 low-income and lower-middle-income countries: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND: Inappropriate antibiotic use is a key driver of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a growing global threat that disproportionately affects children in low and lower-middle-income countries (LLMICs). In response, the WHO Global Research Agenda for Antimicrobial Resistance in Human Health prioritises research on antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs, formally introduced in 2007) and feasible point-of-care testing (POCT) in paediatric populations, where evidence on implementation and effectiveness remains limited. We aimed to address this gap and inform the design and scale-up of paed

Non-specific effects of different sham acupuncture methods and their impact on true acupuncture effectiveness in migraine: a protocol for systematic review and network meta-analysis.

INTRODUCTION: Migraine, a major headache disorder of high prevalence, affects approximately one billion individuals globally and imposes a substantial socioeconomic burden. Acupuncture, as a modality of complementary and alternative medicine, is increasingly used by patients for migraine management. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of acupuncture in randomised controlled trials (RCTs) for this condition remains a subject of debate. The varying non-specific effects of different sham acupuncture (SA) techniques complicate the accurate assessment of true therapeutic effectiveness of acupuncture. T

[A systematic review of the efficacy of tamsulosin as part of combination therapy in adult patients with chronic bacterial/abacterial prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome].

Prostatitis is an inflammatory disease of the prostate gland that can present with lower abdominal pain, urinary incontinence, and sexual dysfunction. The diagnosis of prostatitis encompasses two main conditions: acute bacterial prostatitis (ABP) and chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP). Urinary dysfunction is a key factor in the pathogenesis of chronic prostatitis. Overactive contraction of the urinary sphincter can cause bladder outlet obstruction and residual urine, which can lead to urinary reflux into the prostate. Alpha-1-adrenergic receptor antagonists (alpha blockers) are a class of dru
