Here, we describe the formation of a hybrid biointerface consisting of gold nanoparticle (AuNP) and cytochrome c (cyt c) on indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes using a two-step immobilization procedure. The Au nanoparticles were attached to the ITO electrodes by 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane (3-MPTMS). We encountered a 73-year-old man with acute pulmonary embolism (PE) and Baker's cyst. Venography revealed that the right popliteal vein was compressed by Baker's cyst and deep venous thrombosis (DVT) had developed. DVT associated with Baker's cyst is rather common and these two conditions are thought to be causally related. Baker's cyst is the most frequent mass lesion in the popliteal region. We suggest that Baker's cyst is a risk factor for PE as well as surgery and trauma.

In this work, Ti/SnO2-RuO2 dimensionally stable anode has been successfully fabricated via thermal decomposition method and further used for highly efficient electrocatalytic degradation of alizarin cyanin green (ACG) dye wastewater. The feasibility of the sentinel node concept for malignancies originating in the alimentary tract is attracting much interest among researchers in the field of gastrointestinal oncology. We have tested more than 350 such cases and obtained favorable and promising initial results.
