Isometric contractions recorded with a strain gauge, were elicited with cumulative doses of ascaris suum antigen on fresh canine bronchial rings from 8 dogs. Fifteen rings from 2 spontaneously sensitized dogs reacted with contractions to the antigen, while 11 rings from other dogs did not react. We studied the influence of dose and timing of atropine therapy on fenthion-induced organ dysfunction. Thirty-six rats were randomized into six groups. All rats in the five groups except the control group were intoxicated with fenthion. METHOD: Retrospective review of the medical records of 35 patient-subjects offered this treatment with adequate followup over a five year period.
