The coexistence of intraabdominal foreign bodies, such as migrated IUDs, and uterine neoplasms, particularly carcinosarcomas, represents a significant clinical challenge and infrequent association. Carcinosarcoma of the ureter is a rare biphasic neoplasm, with distinct malignant epithelial and mesenchymal components. The mesenchymal component may show heterologous chondrosarcomatous or osteosarcomatous elements. To the best of our knowledge, there have been only 13 cases reported in the literature. Synchronous malignancy in the renal pelvis is even rarer and this is the first case of synchronous carcinosarcoma of the ureter and renal pelvis to be reported in English literature, which revealed heterologous chondrosarcomatous areas at both sites.
