INTRODUCTION: The aim of study was to investigate postoperative outcomes in patients who underwent rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) surgery.
METHODS: This was a multicenter retrospective study involving 263 patients who underwent silicone oil (SiO) tamponade for RRD. Patients were divided into three groups based on the SiO tamponade: 1 month (group 1, n = 55), 3 months (group 2, n = 176), and 6 months (group 3, n = 32). The main outcomes were best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), intraocular pressure (IOP), and retinal structure 1 month after silicone oil removal (SOR).

We describe a new approach for cataract surgery in ectopia lentis associated with an inadequately dilated pupil. A Malyugin ring 2.0 is first positioned in the eye to expand the pupil. One of the ring coils is then temporarily sutured to the limbal area with 10-0 polypropylene. METHODS: Seven consecutive patients with unilateral maculopathy associated with optic disc pit and one patient with bilateral optic disc pit maculopathy were given octafluoropropane (C3F8) tamponade combined with focal laser photocoagulation treatment. BACKGROUND: To assess topical dorzolamide as medical therapy for idiopathic full-thickness macular holes (FTMHs).
METHODS: Randomised, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, single-centre clinical trial involving 32 patients with idiopathic small FTMHs (<400 μm ). Participants in both arms used topical dorzolamide 2% or saline thrice daily for 8 weeks with monthly OCT. Those with persisting FTMH underwent vitrectomy with ILM peel and gas tamponade.
