STUDY OBJECTIVES: Transpyloric feeding is desirable in critically ill patients who often have gastroparesis; however, correct placement is difficult, requiring fluoroscopy, endoscopy, or time-consuming blind attempts. During a 10-month period, skin culture specimens were taken from 1680 healthy outpatients with a variety of community-acquired skin infections. METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey data from 1993 to 2012 for all visits in which acne vulgaris was the primary diagnosis.
