Primary malignant tumours of the Fallopian tube are among the rarest of gynaecological malignancies. Seven patients with primary malignant tumour of the Fallopian tube, treated between 1991 and 1996, were studied. The average age was 60 years, with nulliparity rate of 29 percent and a mean parity of 2.2. In this case report, we present a rare case in which biopsies from a malignancy-suspect anastomosis after sigmoid resection revealed fimbrial tissue from the fallopian tube. The patient had severe diverticulitis with abscess and underwent resection with primary anastomosis. Persistent atypical endoscopic findings led to repeated biopsies, eventually showing tubal epithelium without malignancy, likely due to fimbrial adherence and incorporation into the anastomosis.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Isolated fallopian tube torsion (IFTT) is a rare gynecologic emergency that poses a diagnostic challenge during pregnancy due to its nonspecific clinical presentation and overlap with more common abdominal pathologies such as ovarian torsion and appendicitis. We report the case of a 20-year-old primigravid woman at 28 weeks gestation who presented with acute right lower quadrant pain. Diagnostic laparoscopy revealed a necrotic, torsed right fallopian tube associated with a paratubal cyst. We also reviewed the current literature on laparoscopic management of IFTT.

Uncommon presentations of granulomatous salpingitis are pseudoxanthoma salpingitis (PSX) and xanthogranulomatous salpingitis (XGS). The clinical features and image modalities can mimic ovarian malignancy. Thus, a proper pre-operative evaluation of this entity is vital to avoid radical treatment.
