Neutral lipid storage disease (NLSD) is an autosomal recessive disorder in which excess triacylglycerol (TG) accumulates in most cells. Although it has been hypothesized that the TG accumulation is caused by a functional defect in cytosolic lipase activity, we were able to expose TG hydrolysis in NLSD cells by using triacsin C, an inhibitor of acyl-CoA synthetase that blocks the reincorporation of hydrolyzed fatty acids into glycerolipids. Models of the common bile duct and gallbladder were constructed to study conditions that affect the rate of cholesterol gallstone dissolution by monooctanoin and other potential solvents. In the bile duct model, the rate of monooctanoin infusion was not an important factor in accelerating dissolution time. During 64 months (1977 to 1983), twelve dermatologists from various sections of the United States studied a total of 713 patients with cosmetic dermatitis out of an estimated total of 13,216 patients with contact dermatitis. BACKGROUND: During the scent secretion period, adult male muskrats (Ondatra zibethicus) produce a musk-like fragrance similar to that of the forest musk deers (Moschus berezovskii). However, the underlying mechanism of scent secretion in muskrats were not well understood. Global contamination with nanoplastics (NPs) has raised public concern regarding their adverse effects on human health. However, little is known about the toxic effects of NPs on the nervous system. This study explored the neurotoxicity of polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NPs) under the exposure model in vitro and in vivo. The results showed that environmentally relevant PS-NPs exposure activated lipophagy-related lipolysis. This activation promoted the production of lipid inflammatory mediators 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), thereby driving neuroinflammation in vitro.
