BACKGROUND Splenosis is a benign condition involving the auto-transplantation of splenic tissue at various locations, resulting from splenic injury or splenectomy. CASE REPORT A 40-year-old male, with a history of remote exploratory laparotomy with splenectomy secondary to blunt abdominal trauma, presented with symptoms consistent with acute appendicitis, which was subsequently confirmed by computed tomography scan of the abdomen that further demonstrated the presence of multiple abdominal nodules, one of which was adjacent to the appendix. A cow was evaluated for acute onset of abdominal pain and decreased milk production. Physical examination revealed narrowing of the descending colon. Exploratory laparotomy revealed mesocolic defect and torsion of the cecum around the descending colon. After surgical correction of the cecal torsion, the cow recovered rapidly. The mesocolic defect could not be closed, and the history did not indicate a cause for the mesocolic defect.

We describe a simple modification in Hautmann neobladder that involves an elongation of its left chimney to advance it through the pelvic mesocolon in order to reach the left ureter in its original place. A rare case of primary gastric endocrine cell carcinoma in a 79-year-old man is reported. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy showed a large Bormann's type 2 tumour located in the middle of the stomach. On computed tomography, the gastric wall was thickened by the large tumour, and there were no distant metastases.
