A series of 23 novel bis-phosphonium salts based on pyridoxine were synthesized and their antibacterial activities were evaluated in vitro. Lewis acid and substituent dependency on the regioselectivity of hydrosilylation of propiolate esters 1a-c with tris(trimethylsilyl)silane (2a) was found.
