INTRODUCTION: Necrotizing fasciitis is an extremely serious exceptional infectious process affecting subcutaneous soft tissues with skin gangrene and vascular thromboses. Starting from a case repat of necrotizing fasciitis of the eyelids and orbit, which occurred in a child of 4, we analyse the early diagnostic elements and the urgency of treatment of a pathology which can rapidly be life-threatening.
OBSERVATION: A child, aged 4 presented a necrotizing fasciitis of the eyelid and orbit with serious toxic shock, after minor skin abrasion.

Few cases of pediatric psoriasis with short stature, possibly resulting from chronic systemic inflammation, have been reported. We present the case of a child with short stature occurring after the onset of psoriasis wherein treatment with adalimumab resulted in the improvement of not only the psoriasis but also the child's short stature. Pediatric psoriasis associated with short stature may benefit from the early induction of biologic therapy.

An 11-year-old male in whom hemifacial spasm was the presenting sign of a pilocytic astrocytoma within the fourth ventricle is reported. The child's hemifacial spasm decreased substantially after resection of the tumor. Hemifacial spasm is largely a disease of adults and only rarely is attributed to brain tumors. In contrast, this marks the fifth case of hemifacial spasm reported in a child, three of which have been attributed to tumors of the fourth ventricle.

We report a 2-year-old infant with severe obstructive sleep apnoea. The symptoms had deteriorated for several months, and indicated complete obstruction shortly after the child fell asleep, with reduction of the oxygen saturation to under 30%.
