What are the global trends in research on resin infiltration in dentistry? An altmetric and bibliometric analysis.

The aim of this study was to analyze the trends and main characteristics of articles on resin infiltration (RI) in dentistry. The search was carried out in August 2023 on Web of Science. Two researchers selected the articles and excluded conference articles. The following data were extracted from the selected articles: citations, year and journal of publication, study design and theme, authorship and institutions, keywords, country and continent. Collaborative networks were generated using the software Vosviewer. Dimensions were consulted to measure altmetric data. Correlation between data was

Pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine - Best recent articles to read in 2025.

It is a challenge to select the "best" recent publications in a field. This is especially so when faced with a feast of outstanding manuscripts across a broad range of topics. I therefore reached out to a Who's Who of friends and colleagues in pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine for suggestions, and I was delighted and overwhelmed by the response - please see the Acknowledgements for those who contributed ideas. Overwhelmed, by having to read 77 publications suggested by one or more colleagues and having to winnow the list down to a somewhat reasonable number. I chose to include all papers

Journals with "pain" in their titles: A web of science-based bibliometric analysis.

BACKGROUND: Pain, a critical symptom prevalent in various diseases and syndromes, has garnered increased attention in recent scientific literature. Bibliometric analyses can offer valuable multi-disciplinary insights into pain. This bibliometric analysis focused on journals with "pain" in their titles. METHODS: Using the Master Journal List in the Web of Science (WoS) database (up to December 31, 2024), we searched all the journals indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) or Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) with "pain" in their titles. For further analyses, we extracted data abo

Bibliometric analysis of ST elevation myocardial infarction research from 1933 to 2023: Focus on top 100 most-cited articles.

The primary objective of this study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the most influential papers on ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI). Using the Scopus database (October 2024), a targeted search was performed to identify relevant publications. Three retrieval options were considered based on the appearance of search terms. Precisely those documents were analyzed where the search terms appeared only in the title, allowing for a focused analysis of the most directly relevant studies. Next, from this search, the top 100 most cited papers, spanning from 1981 to 2018, were selecte

Equity and representation in cardiology research: A comprehensive analysis of authorship from low and low-middle income countries in cardiology journals.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of mortality, disproportionately affecting low-income and low-middle-income countries (LICs/LMICs). Despite this, cardiology research commonly comes from affluent regions. This study assessed the authorship trends from LICs/LMICs in cardiology journals listed in PubMed from 2000 to 2022. The World Bank list was used to classify countries. The total number of articles published in the 138 cardiology journals was 529,359. The percentage of articles that included at least one author affiliated with LICs/LMICs institutions was 0.11 % and 2.23 %, respecti

Advertisements for prescription-free drugs and dietary supplements in the Deutsche Apotheker Zeitung (German Pharmacist Journal).

The Deutsche Apotheker Zeitung (DAZ, German Pharmacist Journal) is an independent pharmaceutical newspaper focusing on science and practice, mainly for the profession of pharmacist. In this study, drug advertising in the DAZ was analysed. To our knowledge, there is little scientific data available on drug advertising in professional journals. We assumed that professional journals provide particularly good background information on the advertised drugs because they are targeted to specialists. All non-prescription medicines and preparations that fall under the Medicines Advertising Law (Heilmit

A Systematic Review of CBM Content in Practitioner-Focused Journals: Do We Talk About Instructional Decision-Making?

Data-based decision-making (DBDM) using curriculum-based measurement (CBM) data has demonstrated effectiveness in improving academic achievement for students with or at risk for learning disability. Despite substantial evidence supporting DBDM, its use is not common practice for many educators, even those who regularly collect CBM data. One explanation for its lack of widespread use is that educators may not receive adequate training in the DBDM aspects of CBM. Espin et al. examined the extent to which DBDM is represented in CBM professional development (PD) materials and found that the topic
