The effect of some gelatin plasma substitutes (Haemaccel, plasmagel and Plasmion (Geloplasma), which are widely used in Europe) on collagen-, ADP- and adrenaline-induced platelet aggregation in human PRP in vitro was studied under controlled conditions (pH, electrolyte composition). Haemaccel inhibited these aggregations, both in citrated as well as in heparinised PRP, whereas they were enhanced by both Plasmagel and Plasmion as compared to the appropriate control. In 14 dogs during experimentally induced haemorrhagic shock the effects of 6% solutions of hydroxyethyl starch and Dextran-60 were compared. As main parameters of the renal function the arterial and venous pressures, renal blood flow, creatinine-clearance as measure of the glomerular filtration rate, urinary flow rate and urinary excretion of sodium and potassium were estimated. Bioactive manganese (Mn)-doped ceramic coatings for intraosseous titanium (Ti) implants are developed. Arc plasma deposition procedure is used for coatings preparation. X-ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy, and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) methods are applied for coatings characterization.
