Most cases of death in genital neoplasms of females are caused by ovarian cancer. Prognostic factors are the postoperative tumor, tumor stage (FIGO, pTNM), age, tumors among family, and the reproductive history. On the basis of 710 malignant ovarian tumors we describe the histogenetic classification and compare the morphologic diagnosis with additional prognostic factors by literature to give a practical review of ovarian neoplasms. Carotid-cavernous sinus fistulae (CCF) represent pathological communications between the intracavernous internal carotid artery and the cavernous venous sinus. Levodopa-induced dyskinesias (LID) in Parkinson's disease (PD) may be classified into three main categories: "On" dyskinesias, diphasic dyskinesias (DD), and "off" periods. The study of 168 parkinsonian patients showed that about half (n = 84) showed one pattern of LID only. A combination of two was present in 68, and 16 had the three presentation patterns. The authors report 23 cases of hereditary epidermolysis bullosa (EB). An attempt has been made to classify them. It was based only on the clinical and genetic criteria. The EB simplex has been found in 14 patients, 5 cases were of the Köbner type. The other 9 cases were of the Cockayne-Weber type. EB dystrophica was isolated in 9 cases, 7 cases of which were carriers of the Hallopeau-Siemens form, one case of the pretibial form and one case of Bart syndrome. The frequencies obtained are largely above the values reported in the literature.

A total of 100 eyes underwent planned extracapsular cataract extraction and were followed more than three months with a mean follow-up period of 12 +/- 8 months. After-cataract was found in 72 eyes. The after-cataract was classified by slit-lamp microscopy into two types, the remnant type and the proliferative type. The former type was due to remains of the lens materials and was present immediately after the surgery: this type was divided into veil-like and Soemmering forms. The proliferative type developed after a period following surgery and was divided into fibrous form and Elschnig form.
