BACKGROUND: Tracheal agenesis is a rare and usually lethal anomaly. In the past, opaque contrast medium was injected via the esophagus to demonstrate the anatomy.
OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the utility of helical and multidetector CT in delineating the aberrant anatomy in newborns with tracheal agenesis.

A 50-year-old woman with systemic lupus erythematosus and a history of aortic arch replacement surgery for Stanford type A aortic dissection experienced a reoccurrence of an ascending aortic aneurysm and coronary artery occlusion. Computed tomography revealed that the aneurysm was compressing the superior vena cava and right atrium. The patient underwent urgent surgery to repair the aneurysm. This case highlights that aortic aneurysms can reoccur even after total arch replacement in systemic lupus erythematosus patients.

We present a case of left isomerism with total anomalous systemic venous connection where the inferior vena cava was absent and all other systemic veins connected abnormally to the left atrium. The right atrium was hypoplastic with an intact atrial septum. Blood flow to the lungs was through a large ventricular septal defect. The diagnosis was made with echocardiography, angiography, and computed tomography. Complete repair was performed successfully, and the 7-year-old patient had an uneventful recovery.

The extrahepatic biliary system is one of the unusual locations of extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinoma. To our knowledge, there has been no report describing the imaging findings of this rare malignancy of the biliary tree. We report 3 large-cell neuroendocrine carcinomas and a small-cell carcinoma arising from the biliary system. Biliary tumors showing on computed tomography an aggressive invasion to the liver or extensive lymph node involvement should raise the suspicion of their being high-grade neuroendocrine tumors.

The authors successfully assessed the lacrimal systems of two patients with dacryocystocele based on dacryocystographic observations using computed tomographic scanning. The results showed that both the lacrimal sac and the nasolacrimal duct were largely distended, and the duct terminated in a closed cyst in the nasal cavity.

We report a case of lipomatosis of the renal hilus which presented with macroscopic painless haematuria. The appearance of the pyelocalyceal system on the intravenous urogram set the diagnosis of renal carcinoma, a diagnosis that both ultrasound and computed tomography did not refute. Aggressive fibromatoses commonly originate from the musculoskeletal system, mesentery, and retroperitoneum. We report a case of aggressive fibromatosis arising from the spermatic cord. A case of chyluria is reported in which anuria followed instillation of 3% silver nitrate into the collecting system of both kidneys, with unusual radiographic features. BACKGROUND: The role of surgery in primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is to allow pathological diagnosis from tumor biopsy. However, PCNSL is often difficult to distinguish from other tumors, particularly glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).
