The paper deals with some results of experimental psychological studies of psychopathic personalities, which indicate the efficacy of using not only experimental data for verifying the existing clinical concepts. Such studies are important as well for formulating some psychological hypotheses, the solution of certain questions on the basis of the known personality theories in psychology. Clinical studies of 22 patients with pathological processes in the spinal cord and vertebral column allowed a new method of diagnosing spinal tumors with the aid thermography on a Soviet thermovision "Rubin" set. According to the preliminary data this method facilitates the diagnosis and differentiation between tumors of the spinal cord. The paper contains thermograms of the back in normals and patients with extramedullar tumors of the spinal cord at the vertebral level D5--D6 and thermograms of the lower extremities in this pathological condition.

A clinical analysis of focal epileptic attacks in 18 patients with ischemic disturbances of blood circulation in the zone of mixed blood supply by the frontal and median cerebral arteries was carried out. The epileptic attacks observed were found to be due to irritation of the frontal adversive and pre-moter fields. A clinico-electromyographical study of 25 patients with torsion dystonia was carried out. The author studied evoked responses of the muscles of the lower extremities (H-reflex, M-response, F-wave) during the electric stimulation of the tibial nerve and the general electric muscular activity both at rest and in hyperkinesia. Clinico-physiological examinations of 218 patients with uterine myoma were carried out using the methods of electromyography and rheopgraphy. The following syndromes were revealed: a myopathic and a radiculoalgic ones; the syndrome of the external dermal femoral and the femorogenital nerves. The pathogenesis of these syndromes consists in compression of the lumbar arteries and the minor pelvis ganglia by the enlarged uterus. On condition of timely treatment including surgical ablation of the myoma the prognosis of the neurological disturbances is, as a rule, favourable.

A clinico-statistical analysis of depressions with different nozological entities (125 cases) demonstrated that the nozological boundaries of endogenous and psychogenic depressions are quite obvious (if not considering the degree of the affect). Regarding the depth of affective disorders, the depressive symptomatology reflects mainly the general pathological regularities (the state of severity) and not so much the nozological traits of the disease.

Blood neutrophils were studied in epileptic patients. Differentiation of neutropenia induced by epilepsy from neutropenia due to anticonvulsants enabled one to reveal that incidence of the latter amounts to 6%. Differentiation of drug-induced neutropenia (54 observations) depending on the pathogenetic mechanism or origin (tonic and allergic), features of the blood picture and the nature of the disease course (stable, recurrent, transitory) is of special importance for diagnosis and choice of therapeutic tactics.

A study of plasmocellular reactions of the bone marrow in alcoholism and alcoholic psychoses demonstrated an increase in the amount of plasmatic cells, a prevalence of mature plasmatic elements with distinctly marked basophilia and a reaction of clasmatosis. Etiopathogenesis of the childhood autism syndrome of a non-process nature is discussed on the basis of a comparative study of 156 children aged from 3 to 16 years. In the etiological complex there is a prevalence of early exogenous-organic noxious factors, which is reflected in disturbances of mental divelopment, maturation of the system of hemispheric pair work. The data of follow-up studies and treatment confirm a conclusion about a residual-organic basis in the syndrome of childhood autism.
