Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) remains pharmacoresistant in 30-40% of patients. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα) agonists like fenofibrate exhibit anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties, but their region-specific effects during epileptogenesis and on behavioral comorbidities are unknown.
