We report the case of a 72-year-old patient sent by his dermatologist in January 2009 for a back burn. His medical history reported one coronarography and two coronaroplasties between September and October 2005. This enabled us to form the diagnosis of chronic radiodermatitis after coronaroplasty from literature data. Subacute radiodermatitis is a rare cutaneous disease induced by ionizing radiation. It often is mistaken for contact dermatitis, fixed drug eruption, or connective-tissue disease. Routine use of fluoroscopy has flourished in many types of medical procedures. We present a case of subacute radiodermatitis stemming from prolonged fluoroscopic exposure during angiography; the lesion appeared only at the site of contact for the ground plate, remote from the field of radiation.

INTRODUCTION: The scapula is one of the most common locations for chondrosarcomas. They may have a primary or secondary origin, and they can be due to a degeneration of benign lesions or be secondary to radiotherapy. The surgical treatment presents good survival rates, if safety margins are preserved.
PRESENTATION OF CASE: We present the case of a chondrosarcoma of the scapula secondary to a radiodermatitis that required a modified total scapulectomy with a latissimus dorsi flap.
