Cyclic variations of Fc gamma receptors (FcR) in human endometrium were studied in specimens from the fundal part, the lower part of the uterine cavity and from the endocervix obtained in the proliferative, ovulatory and early and late secretory phase. The three classes of FcR were studied using monoclonal antibodies (mAb) and indirect immunohistochemistry with avidin-biotin-peroxidase complexes. Cutaneous basophil hypersensitivity (CBH) reactions are heterogeneous delayed time course basophil-rich responses that can be mediated by either T cells, B cells, or serum antibodies. OBJECTIVE: Fc-gamma receptors (FcγRs) have been shown to play a crucial role in cartilage degradation during experimental arthritis. A monoclonal IgM rheumatoid factor (RF) from a patient with mixed essential cryoglobulinaemia was found to bind to type M15 group A streptococci with high affinity.
