The author presents the results of application of intrasinus low-frequency ultrasound in the treatment of 61 patients with chronic purulent maxillary sinusitis. Compared to the control group of 10 patients given conventional treatment, ultrasound-treated patients responded better. Thus, intrasinus low-frequency ultrasound used in patients with chronic purulent maxillary sinusitis makes the treatment cheaper and faster. Simple and convenient in management, the above ultrasonic equipment can be applied both in hospitals and outpatient setting.

The objective of this work was to study the feasibility and effectiveness of the cavitational low-frequency ultrasound treatment of vasomotor rhinitis in combination with the application of topical corticosteroids. Ultrasonographic measurement of follicle growth and estradiol concentrations have been shown to correlate well in spontaneous and Clomid-induced ovulatory cycles. However, little is known about these changes during human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) therapy. Twenty-five women who did not ovulate when treated with clomiphene were treated with hMG during 70 treatment cycles. Real-time ultrasound scanning of ovarian follicles was performed during 61 cycles in 22 infertile patients being treated with sequential injections of human menopausal gonadotrophin (hMG) and human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG).
