The objective of this clinical study was to investigate changes in levels of biomarkers of exposure (BOEs) in healthy Japanese male smokers who switched to a prototype heated cigarette (HC). Leiomyosarcoma of urinary bladder is rare, although it is the most common mesenchymal tumor in adults. We report two cases of this tumor following cyclophosphamide therapy. The first case is from a 53-year-old man with Wegener's granulomatosis treated for 6 years with cyclophosphamide. BACKGROUND: Glaesserella parasuis (G. parasuis) is one of the most important porcine pathogens causing Glässer's disease, and QseBC two-component system (TCS) is associated with various behaviors of G. parasuis. Our preliminary tests confirmed that plant-derived compounds cinnamaldehyde (CAL) and hesperitin (HES) exhibited promising antimicrobial activity against G. parasuis. This work evaluates the antifungal activity of two essential oil components against 28 clinical isolates (17 sensitive, 11 resistant) and 3 standard laboratory strains of Candida.
