The authors report the results of the first experience in using the stabilized hyaluronic acid preparation in patients with lagopthalmos in the presence of facial nerve palsy and thyroid eye disease and resultant keratopathy of varying degrees. Small angle X-ray diffraction and biochemical analyses were carried out on normal palmar aponeurosis and on tissue from patients suffering from Dupuytren contractures (MD). We report our observation of bilateral quadricipital biceps brachii muscle with usual coracoid and glenoid heads and two supernumerary heads arising from the anterior surface of the humerus above the origin of the brachialis muscle. The persistent median artery can be a rare cause of carpal tunnel syndrome. We present an anatomic variant of this artery. A 47-year-old female patient with bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome was found to have bilateral patent, functional persistent median arteries (PMA) upon operative exploration. We dissected 70 cadaver hands to examine the anatomy of the insertion of the abductor digiti minimi (ADM). The insertion had 2 forms. In 58 hands the insertion of the ADM was divided into 2 tendinous portions: one attached the base of the proximal phalanx (bone insertion) and the other attached the extensor aponeurosis (extensor insertion).
