Patients with primary headache syndromes often describe a distribution of pain that involves both frontal and occipital parts of the head. The source of vagal efferent discharge (VED) in the anterior branch of the gastric vagus was investigated in urethane-chloralose anesthetized rats using successive and selective vagal cuts.
