[Severe phototoxic side effects of pirfenidone].

This case report describes a phototoxic drug reaction in an 81-year-old patient taking the antifibrotic drug pirfenidone for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. [Analysis of fatal outcomes of meningococcal infection in adults].

Clinical characteristics and pathomorphological manifestations in 69 patients aged 18 to 86 years with a fatal outcome of the disease were examined in order to analyze the causes of severe course and high mortality of generalized forms meningococcal infection.
