INTRODUCTION: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is one of the most common infections after solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Typically, ganciclovir or valganciclovir have been used for first-line therapy, with foscarnet and cidofovir being used for resistant or refractory infections.
