The correlation between seizures and menstrual cycle was studied in 69 females with epilepsy, mean age 28.7 years. Between 1975-1978 the patients had registered in standard diaries data of menstruation and seizures. Altogether 1237 complete menstrual cycles were collected with 6900 registered seizures. The computer analysis showed a significant increase of seizures frequency in the second phase of cycle with the peak on the first day of menstruation. A cross-sectional study was conducted in four villages of Rupganj Thana of Narayanganj district. The aerobic and facultatively anaerobic vaginal flora of 242 healthy women were examined during menstrual cycles. This is a case report of Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome in a 28-year-old patient. She was admitted to hospital for surgical treatment of the pelvic mass accompanied by painful menstruation periods. This syndrome was diagnosed by US and MRI and it was treated by hemi-hysterectomy with vaginectomy. After the surgery, the patient has had regular and painless menstruation.

The authors described a case of endometriosis of the urinary bladder and periodically active uterovesical fistula, following Cesarean section. Clinical symptoms of endometriosis dominated and were the reason for the patient's visiting the physician. Clinical diagnosis was made by cystoscopy during menstruation. Surgical resection of the focus of endometriosis of the bladder and uterus during menstruation led to permanent recovery.
