INTRODUCTION: This study evaluates the effectiveness of combining ozone hydrotherapy with scalp complex acid in treating scalp seborrheic dermatitis (SSD).
METHODS: A total of 96 patients with moderate to severe SSD were randomly assigned to either the Control group (treated with scalp complex acid) or the Observation group (treated with a combination of ozone hydrotherapy and scalp complex acid). BACKGROUND: Immediate coverage of a large area of exposed skull is the first step in reconstructing a major scalp loss. In the 1970s, the free omental flap was used for scalp reconstruction, replacing removal of the external table and skin grafting only. Introduction of flaps and expanders has revolutionized reconstruction of major scalp losses. A free muscle flap is used to cover the exposed skull. Skin graft covers the muscle flap, and next, the expanded scalp is used to restore the scalp to its original shape. In certain cases, a hair transplant could help create a more natural hairline.

Scalp cooling is an intervention used to decrease the degree of chemotherapy-induced alopecia. The objective is to determine the incidence of scalp metastases among women with early breast cancer who received neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy. We conducted a retrospective cohort study of women with breast carcinoma diagnosed between June 1, 1998 and June 30, 2002. We present a case of a 25-year-old woman with bipolar disorder that developed five asymptomatic, enlarging scalp nodules over nine months while on a stable dose of lamotrigine. A biopsy revealed mixed B-cell and T-cell lymphocytic infiltrates, and after self-tapering the medication, the lesions shrank. The patient was switched to lurasidone, leading to complete resolution of the scalp nodules. This case supports lamotrigine-induced cutaneous pseudolymphoma, a rare but reversible condition, and emphasizes the need for clinicians to consider drug-induced pseudolymphoma.

Fibroblastic connective tissue nevus (FCTN) is a rare, benign dermal mesenchymal lesion of fibroblastic and myofibroblastic lineage. We report a case of a 2-year-old male who presented with an 18-month history of an erythematous, asymptomatic, unchanging dermal plaque on the right medial frontal scalp.
