This article describes and reports data-based outcomes of a low-tech telehealth adaptation of the Lidcombe Program of Early Stuttering Intervention. Participants were 5 children with early stuttering, ranging in age from 3;5 (years;months) to 5;7, and their families. Thirty-nine infants who were served in early intervention programs and who engaged in stereotyped or self-injurious behaviors were studied weekly from the time they entered the school until they were 3 years old. The development of these behaviors increased and declined over age more slowly than in typical babies. PURPOSE: In infants, benign convulsions can be triggered by febrile illness or mild diarrhea such as Rotavirus gastroenteritis. The triggering mechanism of these convulsions is still unknown. We have studied the prevalence of intranasal abnormalities that may influence the choice of nostril for intubation, using the fibreoptic laryngoscope, in 60 oral surgery patients presenting for nasotracheal intubation under general anaesthesia, who had no symptoms or signs of nasal obstruction. Studies have reported that d-amphetamine can induce a schizophreniform psychosis in humans and can induce abnormal behaviour patterns in monkeys that resemble the psychotic symptoms observed in man. The purpose of the present study was to identify a drug administration regime that in squirrel monkeys reliably could induce such behaviours in order to use this as a model of schizophrenia. The behavioural effects of acute, subchronic and continuous administration of d-amphetamine were determined in male and female squirrel monkeys during short term separation from the colony and in the home cage.

The participant, an adult worker with moderate mental retardation, had received prior training in cleaning bathroom, hall, and office sites in a community-based competitive work setting, but demonstrated substandard productivity.
