METHODS: In an open-label, uncontrolled trial to test the feasibility of extended-release buprenorphine (BXR) injection treatment of heroin-using individuals with opioid use disorder testing positive for HPSO, participants were enrolled and began an induction with sublingual BXR (n = 5).
