There are no approved medical therapies for the treatment of pediatric central giant cell granuloma (CGCG), a benign but potentially aggressive tumor of the jaw. Zoledronic acid (ZA), a third-generation bisphosphonate, has been used in CGCG occurring in adults. We describe 4 patients with CGCG treated with ZA, 3 of whom achieved resolution of disease up to 4 years of follow-up. Our experience suggests that ZA may be considered as treatment for pediatric CGCG.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of withdrawal of minodronic acid (MIN) for 3 months after 12 months of treatment in ovariectomized (OVX) rat. OVX rats were orally treated with MIN (6, 30, and 150 µg/kg/day) for 12 months and necropsied on the day after the last dosing or following 3 months of withdrawal. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of zoledronic acid (ZA) in the ovariectomized rat on mandibular fracture. Corpus osteotomies were performed on the mandible of ovariectomized rats.
