An immunoperoxidase study, using the avidin-biotin complex method and a cross-reactive, antihuman papillomavirus (HPV) antiserum, was carried out on paired Papanicolaou-stained cervicovaginal smears and tissue sections from 45 cases of histologically diagnosed genital condyloma.
