In this contribution a physicochemical, IR and Raman characterization for the tin(ii) chloride dihydrate/choline chloride eutectic mixture is reported. The redox properties of this solvent were also studied by cyclic voltammetry finding that it can be successfully used as an electrochemical solvent for electrosynthesis and electroanalytical processes and does not require negative potentials as verified by the reduction of nitrobenzene. The potential use of this eutectic mixture as a redox solvent was further explored in obtaining aromatic amines and N-arylacetamides starting from a wide variet

Conventional alkaline extraction of Camellia oleifera seed meal (COSM) protein is not satisfactory in extraction effects and co-extraction of antinutritional saponins. This study compared five choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents (DESs). The choline chloride/1,4-butanediol system (DES-5) showed the most favorable balance. In detail, it increased protein content from 33.91% to 50.84% while maintaining a comparable extraction rate (33.12% vs. 30.11%) and reduced saponin-equivalent levels versus alkaline extraction. DES-5-extracted protein (DES5-P) showed higher α-helix content, lower fr…

Two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks (2D COFs) are widely used as stationary phases in liquid chromatography, yet their simple pore structures often mandate surface modifications to attain the necessary separation selectivity. In contrast, three-dimensional COFs (3D COFs) feature customizable hierarchical channel systems with complex pore structures, high specific surface areas, and spatially diversified active sites, enabling superior separation selectivity and enhanced column efficiency. Furthermore, their rigid frameworks prevent structural collapse of stationary phase, offering uniq
